IMMERSE YOURSELF IN
SHOPPING, BEACHES & FINE DINING
Weekends in The Hamptons
So you have 2 FULL DAYS to explore the Hamptons, so my recommendation is avoid being a tourist and experience the essence of the area and live the lifestyle. And come back for more!
Particularly in the summer, most lodgings whether a Bed and Breakfast, motel, inn or resort hotel require a 2 night minimum stay requirement. To be central I recommend a stay in Southampton, Bridgehampton or Sag Harbor. For Southampton, check out the Mainstay This is the longest running B&B in Southampton & now available as a full property rental(9bedrooms, 7 baths) for short term or long term stays. Other options: The Southampton Inn or The Southampton Motel. For Sag Harbor Barron's Cove, The American Hotel in Sag Harbor or The Topping Rose. No matter what time of year, check out the ocean(Coopers Beach offers public parking). Enjoy a bench on Main Street and head to the Cheese Shop for some breakfast to go; people watch. Take a stroll on the beach, a dip in the ocean and enjoy lunch on the beach or in the Village. After lunch, head to the Parish Art Museum for some world class art viewing and make your way east to Sag Harbor. Stroll Sag Harbor village and enjoy a great dinner in one of the many restaurants, followed by a stroll in the village to check out some of the most imposing motor yachts and array of stylish sailboats.
Day 2 Morning, head east to Sagaponack and enjoy breakfast at the Pierre's Market. If you are a biking enthusiast, bring a bike or rent one. Rotations in Southampton offers rentals as well. In Sag Harbor, Sag Harbor Cycle company offers rentals. After breakfast, head out to the charming village of East Hampton and enjoy some Madison Avenue shopping, venture out to the Pollack Krasner House or check out the Guild Hall Museum and explore the latest exhibits. For a more outdoor experience you can play golf on the public course visit the Montauk Pt. Lighthouse. My favorite drive is via "Old Montauk Highway's roller coaster ride with views of the ocean. If you have time for some local flair head north of the village and go to Gosman's Dock. For a colorful spots, walk the docks with all its shops and fishing Boats and check out one of the many special events http://www.gosmans.com/special_events. If you plan it right, and you watch the fishing boats come in from the day you be able to purchase the catch of the day right off a boat and or in the fish market itself.

Its' getting late by now so stop for a meal, drink, spa treatment or if necessary lodgings at Star Island's Montauk Yacht Club Guerneys Resorts, Montauk Lighthouse & enjoy a drink on the patio overlooking the docks.

Come Back Again!

FRIDAY
1. 3:00 PM Stroll The Village of Southampton...
Southampton is rich in history, culture, recognized for its' infamous country and beach clubs, international golf, tennis, polo & social events to notable architecture from historical to contemporary, culture, The Parish Art Museum & sophisticated shopping & fine dining. And only a couple of hours from Manhattan making this one sought out destination.

Experience a taste of the village. Shoppers will enjoy Hildreth's family owned and operated Home Goods, Gift and Children's store since 1872, Ralph Lauren, Sunrise to Sunset Surf Shop , Homenature. Enjoy a coffee at and or a gelato, glass of wine at San Ambroeus or make dinner reservations(this is one classic restaurant with an international flair). For something more casual grab a coffee at the Village Cheese Shop https://villagecheeseshoppe.com/ and sit on a bench and enjoy the views. Southampton is child friendly so a trip to Agawam Park, and or Stevensons' Toy Store might be a nice break for them after the long journey out. have a sit on a bench and peruse one of the many complimentary glossy magazines on the Hamptons, enjoy a cocktail at Jobs Lane Gastro Pub or 75 Main.

7:00 PM Dine in The Village
Dinner followed by a stroll around the village or a drive by the ocean always makes for a great start to a your stay. Experience a bit of the French Riviera in Southampton. Don't be surprised if you hear Edith Piaf's La Vie En Rose while at Les Charlot on Main. You are at the beach so seafood may come to mind and The Plaza Cafe` is the spot to have it in the Village. If it is patio dining weather & you are up for a bit of Tuscany...& some good Northern Italian Tutti il Giorno.
Want to keep it super simple & more moderate here are my favorites...
